The Arts Council of New Orleans presents: Fertile Ground
The Arts Council of New Orleans announces a group exhibition, Fertile Ground, featuring area artists who recently completed the Council’s Artist as Entrepreneur program. Designed to advance visual artists through the many facets of their art career, Artist as Entrepreneur is the Council’s signature business development program. The Fertile Ground exhibition runs April 17 – May 17, 2015, with an opening reception on Friday, April 17, 5pm – 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Fertile Ground showcases diverse works created by 18 artists: Shelly Barq, John Darre, Alison Ford, Willow Haley, Anne Conway Jenkins, Juli Juneau, Kaori Maeyama, Kel Mur, Coyle Parker, Travis Pickett, Julie Romain, Kelsey Scott, Kalaya Steede, Brennan Steele, Leona Strassberg Steiner, Francine Stock, Jessica Strahan, and Monica Tyran.
The exhibition takes place at the Exchange Gallery on the first floor of the Exchange Center, 935 Gravier Street, April 17 – May 17, 2015. The gallery hours are M – F, 8am – 6pm. Meet the artists at the opening reception on Friday, April 17, 5pm – 7 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
